Newsletter – October 19, 2019

Hello Folks,

Some of you have already arrived at Silveridge and some of you will be heading south in the near future.  So I thought I would pass on a few updates on the Silveridge Pickleball Club activities.

I see some of you have already signed up in the plastic bottle collection schedule.  It is great to see people already volunteering their help.  Thank you!

The “Round Robin” and “Skills & Drills” schedules have been completed.  On our website you will find the Round Robin schedule on the Court Schedule page and the Skills & Drills Clinic schedule on the Events page.

The “Introduction to Pickleball” and the “Skills & Drills” clinics have been updated.  You can find the documents on our website as well on the Club Information page.  You can also see information on the executive members in this section.

I want to thank Donna Stensrud for all the work that she has completed during the off season, doctoring up all the documents that you see on the web site, and Barry Halpenny for revising the Round Robin schedule which we hope will work out for everyone.

John Faktor will be arriving at Silveridge the beginning of November.  He will be issuing the usual envelopes for sign up and paying your dues.  I would suggest that you start the round robins playing in the same group that you were playing in last spring, unless you played lots of pickleball this summer and you find that you are dominating in your group.  Then contact me or any other executive member and we can arrange to move you up.

Jill Volkes plans to arrive at Silveridge Oct. 28Th, so if you have items to contribute to the basket raffles, you can drop them off after that date at lot #345.

Barry Halpenny and Rich Wilcott plan to arrive the end of the 1st week in November.  I plan to arrive the end of the 3rd week in November, and Allen Lepoudre plans to arrive the 2nd week of December.

If you have any questions before our arrivals, you can always email me and I will do my best to answer your questions.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in November.

Dave Etienne

President
