The Executive Committee meets on a monthly basis. They are the management of the club and are responsible to the entire membership to uphold bylaws.
The Executive Committee is responsible for:
- ensuring the club is financially solvent
- proposing changes in annual dies to the membership
- issuing Guidelines & Rules for the club's activities when there are concerns or other requirements not covered in the bylaws or current guidelines and rules
- propose to Silveridge management or use club funds to maintain and upgrade the club's facilities
- appoint special committees as needed
- presenting a nomination for each officer vacancy or reelection to the membership at least 21 days prior to the annual general meeting
- overall management of the day-to-day activities of the club
Meet the 2024-2025 Executive Committee
President Donna Stensrud: Donna is from Tsawwassen, British Columbia. She has been playing pickleball for 9 years and is currently in Group 3.5. A fun fact about Donna is that she and her husband arrived in Silveridge in November 2015. They came here because her uncle, Harvey Jamieson, was the cook at Silveridge from approximately 2005 to 2015.
Communications Officer Kathy Port: Kathy is a resident of Fairbanks, Alaska. She started playing pickleball two years ago when they arrived in Silveridge and attended the Intro to Pickleball Clinic. In Fairbanks, summer days are long so she and her husband play pickleball late at night - with no lights. Kathy is currently in Group 3.5. If you don’t find her on the courts, you can probably find her in the lapidary shop.
1st Vice President Julie Nosko: Julie lives in Sheridan, Oregon. However, she spent her high school years in Tucson, AZ, where she cultivated her love of the desert. She began playing pickleball when she arrived in Silveridge four years ago and is currently in Group 3.25.
Treasurer Debbie Nelson: Debbie is a farmer from North Dakota. She has been playing pickleball for three years and is currently in Group 2.5. When she isn’t farming or playing pickleball, she loves to spend her extra time traveling.
Secretary Kendra Jensen: Kendra is from Edmonton, Alberta. Kendra and her husband, Bruce, purchased their park model in 2011. She started playing pickleball in 2021 after the pandemic. Kendra is currently in Group 3.0. During the summer months, she and Bruce spend the summers traveling in their RV.
2nd Vice President Tom Drouillard: A resident of Lakefield, Ontario, Tom has been playing pickleball for 3 ½ years and is currently in Group 4+. He arrived in Silveridge two years ago and has brought new ideas to the club. One thing that Tom would love to do in the future is to travel to the Shire and have a pint with some hobbits.
