Fun Pickleball Play Time & Social Event - December 9, 2023

The first event occurred on Sunday, November 18, 2023.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
On November 6, 2023, there was a ribbon cutting ceremony held for the opening of courts 5 to 8.
73 club members and significant others attend the event.
The social committee did a great job serving burgers, potato salad, beans and cake.
The members are very appreciative of the additional 4 courts.
We wish to thank the Silveridge RV Resort Park management for making our dream come true.

Silveridge Pickleball Executive Committee
Cutting of the ribbon participants: (L to R) Donna Stensrud (extensively volunteers time to club), Betty Royal (long serving member, extensively volunteers time to club, club ambassador) and Barry Halpenny (longest serving current Executive Committee member).
Tennis court #4 (closest to the existing pickleball courts and gazebo) is being converted to 4 additional pickleball courts. The work began on June 5th, 2023. On approximately August 7th, the courts were ready for nets and protective guards to be installed on top of the fencing.

Christmas Celebration Event
December 10, 2022
Approximately 125 people attended the event.
Thank you to everyone for bringing a donation for the food bank.
Fun Play Time & Social Event
On December 10th, we held our second social event of the season to play pickleball and socialize with other members.
Players got in the Christmas mood and wore their favourite Christmas costume, hat, shirt, socks, etc.!
Festival of Trees
Each club at the Silveridge RV Resort was invited to decorate a tree for Christmas that reflects their club’s interest/theme. Trees are on display in the ballroom from December 1, 2022 to January 1, 2023.
The Pickleball Club Social Committee participated in this event. They lead a creative group of members who got together and made the tree look awesome!
