Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
On November 6, 2023, there was a ribbon cutting ceremony held for the opening of courts 5 to 8.
73 club members and significant others attend the event.
The social committee did a great job serving burgers, potato salad, beans and cake.
The members are very appreciative of the additional 4 courts.
We wish to thank the Silveridge RV Resort Park management for making our dream come true.

Silveridge Pickleball Executive Committee
Cutting of the ribbon participants: (L to R) Donna Stensrud (extensively volunteers time to club), Betty Royal (long serving member, extensively volunteers time to club, club ambassador) and Barry Halpenny (longest serving current Executive Committee member).
Tennis court #4 (closest to the existing pickleball courts and gazebo) is being converted to 4 additional pickleball courts. The work began on June 5th, 2023. On approximately August 7th, the courts were ready for nets and protective guards to be installed on top of the fencing.

Christmas Celebration Event
December 10, 2022
Approximately 125 people attended the event.
Thank you to everyone for bringing a donation for the food bank.
Fun Play Time & Social Event
On December 10th, we held our second social event of the season to play pickleball and socialize with other members.
Players got in the Christmas mood and wore their favourite Christmas costume, hat, shirt, socks, etc.!
Festival of Trees
Each club at the Silveridge RV Resort was invited to decorate a tree for Christmas that reflects their club’s interest/theme. Trees are on display in the ballroom from December 1, 2022 to January 1, 2023.
The Pickleball Club Social Committee participated in this event. They lead a creative group of members who got together and made the tree look awesome!

Silveridge Pickleball Club Fun Tournament Event - February 29, 2020
On Saturday, February 29th the Fun Tournaments were held for the 1.0 Group and the 2.0-2.5 Groups. A total of 36 players participated and you could tell from all the laughter and smiles that everyone had a good time. Teams were randomly selected by drawing names and the eventual winners were Brenda Dietrich and Conrad Gowland in the 1.0 Group and Paul Kaiser and Phil Morris in the 2.0 and 2.5 Group. The winners each received a $20.00 Gift Card at a grocery store and a pickleball luggage tag (donated by Barb Halpenny). There were a lot of very close games and hard-fought battles in both tournaments. The caliber of play was impressive.
A big thank you to all of the members that made this tournament a success and we look forward to another Fun Tournament on Saturday, March 14th for the 3.0-3.5 Groups and 4.0 Group.

Introduction to Pickleball Clinic - January 11, 2020
On Saturday, January 11, 2020 an Introduction to Pickleball clinic occurred. This clinic is for people who are currently not members and want to learn about the game we love!
A big thank you to all of the volunteers who made this clinic and all the other clinics a success.
