4 Pack Pickleball Play
We are “Lighting Up the Night” with a new program! Join the fun under the lights this season. We are offering an exciting new program called “4 Pack Pickleball”.
This team event will be offered weekly for levels 3.5 to 4.0+.
Each week new teams will be formed and allow you to play organized games with other club members.
Full details provided the night of play, please come 15 minutes early for team placement and instructions.
This is a great way to meet new people, enjoy the evening under the lights and stay to socialize after.
How the Game is Played!
- Games are rally scoring, first to 25 wins, teams switch sides at 13
- The first team on the board selects side, serve, receive or defer
- Each player plays on a dedicated side (odd/left or even/right). Players do NOT switch positions to serve
- Each serve results in a point regardless of which team serves
- Each team serves on the side that corresponds to their score
- Coordinator will determine each week if female or male players start play
- Eg. Female players play until the cumulative score equals 5 points, then the male players until cumulative score equals 10 points, then the first set of mixed doubles until 15 points, second set of mixed doubles until 20 points, then repeat order until one team reaches 25 points.
- One 1 minute time out per team per match only, at that time players currently on the court may switch sides
- Mixed partners are to switch every game
- Players on the court are the only ones to call lines
- Call the score loud before serving and teammates on the sidelines can assist with the score as you will find this helpful
- Teams will play against all other teams
- There will be a 5-minute break after half the games are played
- Report the score to the bulletin board after each match
- The team with the most wins at the end will be the winners
- If there is a tie, we will go with the head-to-head result and if more than two teams are tied we will go with points for, and if still a tie, points against
How to Sign Up
Watch for the “4 Pack Pickleball” sign-up to come out on SignUpGenius.
At this time we will be offering this event to levels 3.5 to 4.0+ to play on Thursday nights from 6pm to 8pm.
Sign-up as an individual, teams will be randomly selected the day of play and will consist of 2 men and 2 women. Maximum of 4 teams each week. Sign-up under the correct tab “Women” or “Men”. If there are 8 teams, each player will play 6 games during the evening event.
If members in levels 3.25 and below wish to participate, let us know and we can organize a “4 Pack Pickleball” night for the lower levels to play as well.
