CMARS Inter-Park Play

Inter-Park Play: means organized, friendly competition between different RV resorts, or residential communities.

Several RV parks in the immediate area are participating in the CMARS Inter Park Play League:

  1. Carriage Manor: 7750 East Broadway Rd
  2. Agave: 7807 East main
  3. Resort (The): 1101 South Ellsworth Rd
  4. Sunland Village East (SVE): 2615 South Farnsworth
  5. Sunland Village: 4533 E Clovis Ave

This league was started by the Carriage Manor, Agave, Resort and Sunland Valley East. The first letter of each park was used to create its name: CMARS.

This league is to promote pickleball play at a given level, within the valley and most of all having fun and meeting other players.

All participating CMARS parks use a self rating system for their players.

You are invited to participate in the round robin event. There will be a limited number of players allowed to play in a round robin session (depending on the number of courts available).

Whether you’re a Silveridge member or from another park, make sure to use the SUG sign-up to get your spot!

How to Participate

  1. If you choose to participate in the CMARS Inter- Park Play, look at the schedule and choose the appropriate sessions you want to be invited to. See schedule below. You can register for as many sessions as you want at your level of play.
  2. Email the host person listed for each event that you want to play in. You only do this once. The host will enter your name in their SignUpGenius (SUG) sign-up for their weekly round robin session.
  3. Every week, you will receive an email from SUG inviting you to register to play. This email is usually 3-4 days prior to the scheduled play time. There are limited spots and so registration is on a first come first served basis.
  4. Once you are signed up to attend the round robin event, it is expected that you will show up and stay for the entire play time. If you are unable to attend, you may choose to find a replacement, or you must delete yourself from the round robin.

Go Play!

Proper name tags must be worn with your name and your park.

Be at the courts at least 10-15 minutes prior to the start time to receive your playing number and get your warmup in. Courts and partners are randomly assigned, and games are to 11 points, with a time limit of 11-12 minutes with a 3-minute break between games depending on the weather. You are expected to stay and play for all the games. And don’t forget your water.

CARRIAGE MANOR: 7750 EAST BROADWAY RD

Stop at security gate. Tell them you’re going to play pickleball. If they ask for a contact, Bob McEwen site 878.

Then drive about 80 yards to STOP sign. Turn left on MANOR WAY. Drive to end of street and park on the left in the PATRIOTS PARK assigned parking spots. Walk to courts.

WASHROOMS are kitty corner from parking area.

SUNLAND VILLAGE EAST (SVE): 2615 SOUTH FARNSWORTH

From Baseline go South on Farnsworth Dr. (entering SVE), then left on E. Nido Ave. (new courts on the Right.)

AGAVE VILLAGE: 7807 EAST MAIN

Enter north gate off Main St (Apache Trail) a little distance east of Sossamon. Careful, entrance sign comes up a little unexpectedly. There is an unmanned gate that should be open 8am to 5 pm. Upon entering, go through stop sigh then the courts (4) are on your left. They have parking on the east side of the courts.

SUNLAND VILLAGE: 4533 E. CLOVIS AVE.

Head west on Broadway past Higley, turn left on Quinn then right on Clovis.

THE RESORT: 1101 SOUTH ELLSWORTH

Park in back lot on the right of the entrance gate which is before the security house. Then enter through a gate and the courts are right there.

SILVERIDGE RESORT: 8265 E. SOUTHERN AVE

Enter north gate off E. Southern Ave. Tell the security guard you’re going to play pickleball. If they ask for a contact, Donna Stensrud at lot 13 or Jim Eschliman at lot 372.

Proceed straight until you arrive at the stop sign (West Lark Circle) before the main administration building. Turn left. Drive to the next stop sign, turn right. Proceed down the road and stop at the next 2 stop signs. At the second stop sign, turn right onto West Lark Circle. On the right side of the street, you will find the pickleball courts and parking is available there.
