The Club offers free skill development activities to our members. Additional training costs are based on the cost to bring in a qualified trainer and will be paid for by the participating member. Members will visit SignUpGenius (SUG) to sign-up for the different activities. Our instructors are highly skilled Silveridge Pickleball Club players who volunteer their time for the betterment of the members.

Each season our Player Development Committee puts together a plan of different skill & development activities for our members. Below is a list of those activities for the coming season.

Ball Machine

The Club has a ball machine, which can be booked and used for members to practice and develop their skills.

A ball machine coordinator will be there to set up and operate the ball machine for members.

The sessions are on Sunday at 9:00am on court 3 and Thursday at 1:00pm on court 3.

Ball Machine with a Coach

We offer sessions for our members to book and use the ball machine with supervision of a coach and work on specific skills.

These sessions are scheduled on specific Wednesdays and begin at 3:00pm on court 3.

Members will sign-up on SUG to participate in a 1-hour session.

Coaching Drills

These sessions are hosted by high level player coaches from within our club. The entire 1-hour session will focus on practice of specific drills designed to enhance a player’s ability to consistently perform specified actions at an improved level.

These sessions are scheduled on specific Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 to 5pm on courts 1 & 2.

Members will sign up on SUG to participate in the 1-hour session.

Combined Round Robin Play

Combined round robin sessions are when groups from adjacent skill levels play together. These are fun, social games that allow players from the higher group to mentor players from the lower group, and the lower group players gain valuable experience playing along with the higher group’s players.

These sessions occurs during the first full week of each month.

Members will sign up on SUG to participate.

Group 2.0 Skills Development

The skills development sessions are hosted by mentor/coaches who will guide new players through a curriculum focused on skill development and general knowledge and rules of the game. Active play may be limited to the latter part of the session.

These sessions are scheduled on specific days: Tuesday at 9am, Wednesday at 1pm, Thursday at 9am, and Friday at 1pm.

Group 2.0 players will receive invites to sign-up on SUG.

Group 2.5 Lessons

We have lessons for the Group 2.5 members during the first 45-60 minutes of your round robin sessions on November 20, 27, December 4 and 11. Click here to sign-up on SUG to attend.

Mentor Play

Sessions will be hosted by a high-level player from within our club and will focus primarily on the mental side of pickleball. Participants will receive active and timely feedback during actual game play on positioning, strategy, placement, pace, communication and footwork. The latter part of the session may be recorded to allow the participants to view their playing style with their mentor.

4 participants are required per session.  It is recommended that interested persons recruit three others of a similar skill and all 4 sign up.  Members will sign up on SUG to participate.

To ensure equal opportunity, club members should only sign up once per season for mentor play.
