Executive Committee Changes and New Committee Chair
At the November 6, 2025 Executive Committee meeting, we voted unanimously to make changes to the Executive Committee structure and occupants, all of which will be voted on at the March 7, 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM). We are very excited to make the following changes. Many hands make light work!
A Director position was created and the duties will include (but not limited to this list as the position evolves): being the New Player Host for people who are new to pickleball or want to try pickleball before or after becoming a member, assisting and mentoring the 2.0 Group by being one of their Round Robin Captains, assisting the Social Committee and Merchandise Committee with tracking and taking payments from members, facilitating fundraising events, and special events when needed. This year's special event will be on Saturday, January 24, 2026 with the children from Sunshine Acres participate in a pickleball clinic and play some games on our courts. More information on this special event will come out at a later date. Debbie Nelson has moved from the Treasurer position into this newly created Director position.
Julie Nosko has moved from the 1st Vice President position into the Treasurer position.
Jack Hall has joined the Executive Committee and will be in the 1st Vice President position. Jack will remain as the Social Committee Chair. Jack, thank you for joining the team. We look forward to working with you on the Executive Committee.
Susie Mauer recently stepped in as Acting Secretary, which was due to Mike Gross resigning in September. Susie, thank you for taking on the challenge and we look forward to working with you on the Executive Committee team.
If the Executive Committee agrees this additional Director position is required going forward, the amended by-law will be presented at the March AGM for a vote.
The people in these “Acting” positions, have the option to put their name forward for election at the March AGM.
Merchandise Committee Chair
Thank you to Kathy Carli who has accepted the position of Merchandise Committee chair. We look forward to her helping Susie with our merchandise sales this season.
