A News Update from the Silveridge Pickleball Club Executive Committee - sent via email
December 21, 2024
Happy Holidays & New Year Everyone!
Here we are watching December speed by like a powerful drive shot from your opponent! After our December 11th executive committee meeting, we decided to share a few important updates and reminders with you. Our next executive committee meeting is scheduled for January 8th at 4:00pm.
The December 14, 2024, Fun Play Time Social and Christmas Celebration Event was a success with 110 people in attendance for dinner and live entertainment. Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets for the 50/50 draw and raised $600. $300 was divided up and given to 3 lucky winners: Rick Dill, Tracey Gowland, and Terry Tomalin. $300 will be presented as a donation to Sunshine Acres Children's Home on Sunday, January 26th.
New Court Schedule Effective January 1, 2025
A new court schedule will be effective on January 1. The changes are outlined below.
- An additional night for Ladies Round Robin will replace the All Levels Round Robin on Wednesday night.
- Fridays from 12 - 2 will reflect the 2 & 2.5 Combined Round Robin Group Play.
- Group 2.5 will have additional courts assigned to them on some days to accommodate their larger numbers. You will see fewer Arrange Own Game (AOG) slots during those times so this doesn’t affect other groups.
- The David Ott workshops have officially been scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays during the month of January from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm for Groups 2.5, 3, 3.25, and 3.5 on Courts 1 to 4. Please visit SUG to sign-up and stay tuned for further dates!
- The updated court schedule will be posted at the courts and on the website.
Group 2 Clarification
In past years this group has been called Group 1 & 2. For the 2024/2025 season, it was renamed to Group 2 (our beginners who are learning the game and for players who have physical limitations) This group includes all our former Group 1 players. If you were a Group 1 player in recent years, please sign-up! The updated membership form does state that Group 2 includes level 1.

This year the Club has expanded our inventory of club merchandise. We will be offering additional opportunities to purchase items on the following dates:
