Silveridge Pickleball Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers

An Update from the Silveridge Pickleball Club Executive Committee

Hello Everyone,

Can you believe it, February is here already! We just have a few pieces of important information to share with our current members.

Annual General Meeting and Election of Officers

AGM: Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday, March 1st and will begin at 5:00pm for the purpose of electing officers, approving any proposed changes in dues, reviewing the season at hand and planning for the future. Some of these topics will be on the agenda. Current members are eligible to vote at the AGM.

If you plan to attend the AGM and dinner, please sign-up on SUG before 8pm on Thursday, February 27.  Current members and their partner/significant other who are not members are welcome to attend the meeting and dinner. All attendees will pay $10 per person for the meal, which will be collected at the event. The meal will take place after the meeting.

Election of Officers: Officers serve a one-year term on the Executive Committee. All current members of the Club who own or rent in the Silveridge RV Resort are eligible to be officers.

I would like to say a special thanks to the current Executive Committee officers who are hard-working individuals and have substantially contributed to the Club during the past year. The current officers have volunteered to stand for re-election except for our Secretary, Kendra Jensen. Kendra did a great job as Secretary this past year, and we thank Kendra and her husband, Bruce, for their hard work and dedication.

Mike Gross has indicated to the Executive Committee that he would be willing to serve as Secretary.

Slate of Nominees are listed below:

Office Current Candidates Nominees
President Donna Stensrud Donna Stensrud
1st Vice President Julie Nosko Julie Nosko
2nd Vice President Tom Drouillard Tom Drouillard
Secretary Kendra Jensen Mike Gross
Treasurer Debbie Nelson Debbie Nelson
Communications Officer Kathy Port Kathy Port

Even though these folks have let their name stand for another term, we welcome you to add your name as well. To learn more about each officer position, click here to view The Functional Organizational Chart. Contact an Executive Committee member if you have any questions or need more information. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else, you must notify a member of the Executive Committee, in writing, or via the Club’s email silveridgepickleball@gmail.com before Wednesday, February 19, 2025.  If you are interested in a particular position, please mention it when you submit your nomination. Are you submitting a nomination for someone else? Be sure they are aware and agreeable to running for the position.

If more than one name is brought forward for any executive officer position, a vote by ballot will be held for that position at the AGM.

For your review, a final list of nominees will be posted on the sandwich boards at the pickleball courts and the current members will be notified via email on Thursday, February 20, 2025, which will include the AGM agenda.

Membership Survey

The Executive Committee is seeking your input and we are asking that you please take a few minutes to complete the anonymous survey. Click here to access the electronic survey. The results will be shared at the AGM. Thank you, we appreciate your feedback which helps us make decisions and changes as needed.

New Court Schedule Effective January 20, 2025

A new court schedule came into effect on January 20.  The changes are outlined below.

  • Use of the ball machine was moved from court 5 to court 3.
  • Tuesday Ladder Play League was cancelled due to low participation. The Group 3 round robin was moved from 2pm to 4pm to 12pm to 2pm. Additional Arrange Own Games are scheduled from 2pm to 4pm.

The updated court schedule is posted at the courts and on the website.

For those of you who don’t have a printer, we have placed two additional document boxes at Court 1 beside the document box that holds the membership forms. One holds printed copies of the court schedule and the other holds printed copies of the current Club Activity calendar. We hope these documents are hanging on your fridge so you won’t miss a thing!
