Silveridge March 2019 Pickleball Club Update

Hi Folks:

I thought I would send out a newsletter following our annual general meeting that was held last Sat Mar 9th.  I don’t have the membership program loaded on my computer yet so Larry DeMarchi has agreed to distribute any newsletters until I get set up. We had over 100 people attend the meeting which is a record.  We shouldn’t be surprised as to date we have achieved a record membership of 235 members and we are still receiving new memberships.

During the meeting, Larry DeMarchi informed us that he was stepping down as President of the Club after serving 3 years on the executive.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank Larry for the outstanding job that he did.  He was a passionate, fun loving, but dedicated leader who inspired the rest of us on the executive as well as the various committee chairs during his tenure.  We will definitely miss his good nature and leadership.

I would now like to introduce the new executive and committee chairs for the 2019/2020 term:

President – Dave Etienne ( Lot #49

1st Vice President – Barry Halpenny (  Lot #207

2nd Vice President – Rich Wilcott ( Lot #375

The 3.0/3.5/4.0 Tournament will be held Sat Mar.23rd . The sign up Genius invitations went out this morning so be sure to sign up.

We have met with Rhonda, the Silveridge General Manager to enquire about better lighting & possible expansion of our pickleball court facility.  She has her budget meeting with the owners in May, so keep your fingers crossed.

See you on the courts
